Upcycled Kids Jeans to Backpack

Can't believe my last post was 6 years ago.

My girl is 3y now, I have some me time after she goes to school. My girl's backpack was so tiny and I wanted to make a big one for her. I found a good video on Youtube for making backpack from jeans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jl6SjJR_ZZw

I had two 3T jeans that my girl couldn't fit in anymore. I cut them in many pieces.

Some hardware needed to be removed then I could use waist bands as backpack straps.

Made a zippered pocket in front.

It took around one week to finish. My girl's works were so cute!

Back. I left the tag and one loop on the strap.

Two pockets in back with straps and handle which was made by bottom hem.

My girl was left handed, so i put zipper head on the right side. (Maybe I should pit it on the left?!)

Added three belt loops with red thread.

Restitched Levis brand tag on the left.

Inside pockets. 

The zipper pull was made from the bottom hem.

Remaining fabric.

I was thinking about sola W.'s package....

I had been lived in Japan for two years. Japanese packing for purchased stuffs really impressed me!!!

They used looooots of materials for wrapping, including packing paper, plastic bags, ribbons, boxes, ........ in many layers.

The delicate packing might let the purchase look like valuable, I personally prefer a simple style to avoid using many materials only for wrapping and packing.

Adult Bib (Square Scarf ) for My Dad and Mom

Last month, my mom said she wanted me to make a bib for my dad,

because he ate food so quickly and always sprayed juice on his t-shirt like a child. LOL.

 I couldn't believe so said to my mom " Are you serious???"

She said " Yes, I'm not kidding. Could you make two for both of us? "

(( Oh,,, I really couldn't imaging that my dear serious dad wear a bib when he eat outside!!!! ))  

My mom asked me seriously, so I design two simple bibs (like scarfs) for them!
